Really? Where was Danica when I was in high school?! I don’t know if I can get my head around sexy algebra, but I am sure loving this book project (which will be finished and available in the shop later this week). I dug out anything with numbers or geometric designs – even found some graph-paper patterned washi tape to use – so much fun!
The end papers are covered with writing – even a scribbled knock-knock joke on the back…
Not a clue what it might be referring to – looks like “hide park”? It may have to remain a mystery.
I will reveal one little mystery, though. In my last post, I mentioned an ever-so-gentle step into publishing… well, do you remember a loooooong time ago on dragonfly, when I told you about Maya Stein coming to visit? After Maya’s visit, I submitted a poem for a book she was compiling and it was included!! The book is available now on Lulu and she’s working to get it on Amazon too. “Lost Highways and Living Rooms” includes writings from students all over the U.S. and parts of Ontario – places Maya visited on her “Tour de Word” trip in the fall of 2010. I’m ridiculously excited about the whole thing and itching to see what else I can get put into real live PRINT!!
